Las Vegas Community College, also known as the College of Southern Nevada, offers 150 degree and certificate options in over 90 fields of study. Twenty-five degree and certificate programs at the community college can be completed entirely online. Students can take Bachelor-level courses in Science and Applied Science; Associate-level courses in Business, Science, General Studies and Arts; and Certificate of Achievement-level courses in a number of diverse fields.
College of Southern Nevada has three main campuses in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson and is divided into six different academic schools and a non-credit wing called the Division of Workforce and Economic Development. It has been the largest higher education institution in Nevada since its founding in 1971 under the name Clark County Community College.
The college offers one four-year degree program, in dental hygiene, and several two year degree programs. Associate of Arts degree students can study communications, anthropology, political science, economics, and primary and secondary education. Associate of Sciences offerings include biological, physical, dentistry and general sciences. Associate of Applied Sciences degrees include air conditioning technology, office computing studies, commercial photography, veterinary technology and business management.
