To create Quizlet flashcards, visit the site at Quizlet.com and click on the icon indicating Create a Set. Next select the language of reception, typically English or Spanish, and then the language to be translated. You can create up to 2,000 pairs of flashcards per set.
To create an account, you must select an access method to Quizlet, usually through a vehicle such as Facebook or Google, then create a username that grants access to the site. When creating the flashcard set, you also have the option of selecting who is able to see your set and who has the power to edit it. For example, you might select yourself only, everyone, certain groups or only people with passwords.
You are presented with a dual column page, with corresponding boxes for the original word and its translation. You then move the cursor to the appropriate box and type in the text. It does not matter which order you do it in. At this stage, you also have the option of providing either an image or a sound recording, such as a pronunciation, for the specific word pairs. To add more pairs, simply click on the addition sign icon at the bottom of the page. Quizlet offers various accents in upper and lower cases, and each created list can be cycled through Quizlet's six learning modes.
