Examples of online courses offered through ITT Tech include those in the school's School of Criminal Justice, such as introduction to criminal justice, computer forensics, criminal justice reporting, fundamentals of law enforcement and forensic technology. These courses are taught through the school's online network and last either 6 weeks or 12 weeks, depending on the course. Materials needed for the course are sent to the student before the first week.
Introduction to criminal justice provides students with an overview of the American criminal justice system. It is a prerequisite for other criminal justice courses, such as criminology. In computer forensics, students learn how to secure a crime scene and gather evidence from computers. Students learn how to write clear and accurate reports used in the field in criminal report writing.
Examples of general education courses offered online at ITT Tech include composition I, college mathematics I, survey of the sciences, American government, problem solving theory and professional communications. Many ITT Tech online courses are 4.5 credits and each program requires a specific amount to graduate. For example, students must complete 93 credits to receive the Associate of applied science degree in criminology and forensic technology.
ITT Tech offers other degree programs with their own set of course requirements. For example, students can take courses online in nursing, cyber security, paralegal studies, business administration, project management and Web design technology.
