Country Isles Elementary School in Weston, Florida, is located in Broward County. It serves over 900 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade who reside in the geographic area along both sides of U.S. Highway 27, from Sheridan Street to the Palm Beach County line.
Country Isles Elementary school teaches the following academic subjects: reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, health, physical education, music, art, library skills and computer education. The school implements State of Florida Standards and the Broward County Public School's Critical Content and Performance Indicators in the classroom. Classroom materials and textbooks are selected from a state-approved list.
Every student at Country Isles Elementary School participates in a guidance program to assure physical, emotional and intellectual development. The school also offers Exceptional Student Education classes, which address special learning needs for students who are gifted, autistic or require speech therapy. Individual teacher-parent conferences are scheduled regularly, and parents can participate in three parent groups: the Parent-Teacher Association, the School Advisory Forum and the School Advisory Council. Parents can also volunteer in classrooms, at the library and for special events.
As of 2015, regular school hours are 8:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. A breakfast program is available at 7:30 a.m. for students who must arrive early and an after-school child care program is provided on campus from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
