Two community college options in the Baltimore area are Baltimore City Community College and the different campuses that make up the Community College of Baltimore County. All the main campuses of the college are in Baltimore itself, and there are also two extension centers in Owings Mills and Randallstown.
Baltimore City Community College is a state-sponsored school that has several accredited degree and certificate programs as well as continuing education classes. Associate degree programs include concentrations in computer information systems, early childhood education, health information technology, law enforcement and correctional administration, and nursing. These function either as terminal degrees or as transfers into four year programs at a select number of other institutions. Certificate programs take a shorter amount of time. Concentrations at Baltimore City Community College include addiction counseling, coding specialist, cybersecurity and assurance, lab animal science, and special education assistant.
The Community College of Baltimore County has over 200 associate degree and certificate options, including in the fields of automotive technology, aviation management, political science, radiation therapy and sustainable horticulture. Many agencies provide accreditation either for the school as a whole, or for one or more of its programs. Some of the school's offerings are also available via distance learning.
