To describe someone in just one word, a person must find a word that summarizes her personality or describes her strongest trait. Common words used to sum up a personality include shy and outgoing.
Though people have many different traits that make up their personality, the most dominant of these traits often determines how they are perceived by others. Someone who has a heart for people may be called compassionate, loving or kind. Someone who cries a lot may be called sensitive or emotional. Someone who rarely smiles or gets close to people may be called aloof, stuck-up or unfriendly.
