The Clifton StrengthsFinder test measures an individual’s natural aptitudes in areas such as interpersonal skills, leadership abilities and creative potential. It is primarily designed for use in the workplace where it helps to identify areas where an individual is most likely to be able to grow and succeed.
The test identifies an individual’s strengths by asking a responder to select the statement, from a pair of statements, that most resonates with them. After the test taker has completed the full set, the test identifies the individual’s greatest strengths.
The test is administered and developed by Gallup Strengths Center. Various packages are available for test takers. A basic package reveals an individual’s top five strengths, while an expanded package reveals strengths ranked 6th to 34th.
Test takers also receive additional resources along with their test results to help them use their strengths to their greatest potential. These resources include strength analysis tools and an action guide to help test takers further develop their skills.
