Citation Machine is a web-based application that automatically translates citation information into a fully formatted citation. Citation Machine supports all western formats; these include MLA, APA, Chicago, Turabian, and Harvard.
Created by David Walrick of The Landmark Project in October of 2000, Citation Machine has helped millions properly cite their work. In addition to citation creation, Citation Machine offers online tools to assist with everything from writing an essay to formatting a title page. As of 2015, Citation Machine is a free service supported by ad revenue and donations, though users can chose to remove ads for a small membership fee.
