The Student Portal homepage is broken up into sections with important links such as news, courses and personal or financial information. Grand Canyon University uses some of these links to provide time-sensitive information to the students. Requests for important documents like financial aid forms are found in Doc Center, and the university uses News Center to keep students informed of special events or announcements. Other links make students aware of scheduled appointments or alerts on student accounts.

Students are able to track their program progress via the Academics link. Course schedules, a GPA calculator, attendance records and grades can all be accessed through the Academics link. The Student Portal offers a calendar that has preset dates for events, such as the start and end dates of courses, and also allows students to set events they want to keep track of. Student transcript requests can be made under the Quick Links tab where students can also find links to the campus library and student email.
