Resources for article writing and samples can be found on many websites, including Article Teller and the Open Education Database site, OEDb.org. Samples and materials geared towards children and learning to write articles can be found on the Scholastic and Time for Kids websites.
As of 2015, the Article Teller website provides users with step-by-step instructions on how to write articles, with information on selecting a writing approach, knowing the audience and proofreading. The site also offers links to samples of different approaches, such as articles written as interviews, product reviews or from an expert perspective. The OEDb.org website provides 150 different resources to assist with article writing for blogs, education, journalistic publications and more. The site organizes its links into categories such as genres, media resources and writing tools.
The Scholastic website provides instructions and materials for children to write news and feature articles. It offers samples of both styles with articles such as, "Out of the Classroom and Into the Garden," and "Astronaut Interview." The Time for Kids website offers users an interactive method of creating a news article with a checklist, as well as PDF files to illustrate a sample article and for use in writing preparation. The site also offers other writing resources such as a "Grammar Wizard" and "Writing Toolbox."
