Full Answer

The use of Destiny Quest requires that the school's library is running Destiny version 10.0 or higher. The library administrator must also set up user names and passwords for each student. Students need an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with iOS 4.2 or later, or an Android device with version 2.1 or later of the operating system.

Once the app is working, students can search library resources at any time. They can check out e-books published by Follett directly to their device. The software also allows them to view library account information such as any books currently checked out, fines that are due or holds they have placed. Students can also maintain lists of books they have read and are planning to read, and can also leave reviews and ratings for books they have read.

Teachers are also able to add resource lists to the app to help students find class materials. A list of the 10 most popular books and new releases for each library is also automatically maintained.
