Websites such as Ginger, Grammarly and PaperRater offer free grammar checks online. Simply paste in the text in the provided boxes and the website will alert the writer to suggested corrections.
PaperRater uses a simple process to examine written documents or pieces of text.

Copy and paste the document PaperRater will check or upload a document for longer pieces. Select the education level of the paper's writer.
After pasting the text, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the user agreement.
After PaperRater edits the paper, the analysis will appear on the next screen. On the right side, click options such as Spelling, Grammar or Vocabulary Words. A new screen appears that will suggest fixes for common errors.
Ginger is also a free, easy grammar check site.

From the document, copy the selection Ginger should check. Paste it into the top text box on the homepage. Click Ginger It!
Review the changes in the box which appear in a box below the input box, then highlight the text, right click and hit Copy. The text is ready to go into an email, Word document or other word processing program.
