The Front Row student portal gives students access to read aloud questions, instant feedback on questions answered, automatic assessment of math levels, scratch paper and manipulatives, and other program contents. Material aligns with Common Core standards. Students gain access to accounts and log-in information in conjunction with a participating school.
Front Row gives reading as well as math practice through its read aloud feature. This is especially helpful for ESL students, who can click the read aloud button to hear instructions read in clear English. In addition, students receive instant feedback after answering questions. If an answer is wrong, the program provides a Get Help feature to aid the student. The program also monitors student levels and bases the successive material on performance so that the material is neither too hard nor too easy.
Front Row's student portal also gives students access to scratch paper and manipulatives for working out problems. The virtual scratch paper features a blank sheet and a writing tool for them to draw whatever figures and study aids enable them to solve the problems.
The Front Row student portal is set either for a student to use individually or to work collaboratively with other peers in a classroom setting.
