The Florida General Knowledge Test, which is designed to measure the essential knowledge needed to be a classroom teacher, is not an online test. Test takers must select an official test center at which to take their test when they register for the exam.
The Florida General Knowledge Test is a computer-based test that consists of three multiple-choice sections and one essay. All sections of this exam are timed, and test takers are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement before beginning their exam. Test takers should arrive at their testing center at least 30 minutes before their test is scheduled to begin.
