There are a number of websites that offer CNA exam practice questions for students, including Prometric. The practice tests are designed based on federal regulations and are geared towards helping students prepare for their nurse aide exams.
According to Prometric, there are three different options available for students who are looking for CNA exam practice questions. The first is the written exam practice test, which includes 50 different questions over three separate versions. Prometric also states that feedback, textbook references and source material is also included with the written exam practice test. The cost is $10 per test, or $25 for all three versions, as of January 2015.
The second option offered by Prometric is the clinical skills readiness test. Prometric states that this option focuses on multiple choice tests that go into specific detail regarding certain skills. These practice questions are designed to help students learn which areas of the clinical skills that they should focus on. The costs range from $5 to $7 each, or $25 for the entire set of tests, as of January 2015.
The final option from Prometric focuses on clinical skills and the different tasks that a nurse's aide may be asked to perform. Examples of areas covered in the clinical skills option includes hand and nail care, mouth care, dressing, ambulation, transferring, positioning, taking vital signs and catheter care. This portion of the CNA exam may focus on the actual performance of the skills versus knowledge.
