World geography games can be bought online at National Geographic's store, at Little Passports and at Fat Brain Toys. Amazon also offers a selection of games and toys. Depending on the site, availability could include board games, card games or puzzles. Games are also available for specific countries.
The National Geographic store offers the Kids Interactive Intelliglobe. It has a wireless touch pen that is used to point out spots on the globe to play games and/or to learn facts. The multilingual toy offers communication in English, Spanish, French and German. Other available geography games include the Road Trip Word Game, a more traditional board game, and the World Map Interactive Touch Pad Toy that provides verbal facts and quizzes.
Little Passports is a subscription game service that provides three separate adventures based on age level. Early Explorers is for ages 3 to 5, World Edition is for ages 5 to 10 and USA Addition is for ages 7 to 12. An initial kit is sent out with maps, activity books and games. Each month, more materials are sent out. For example, the USA Addition adventure starts out with an overview of the USA and includes maps, a field guide, a scratch book and a disposable camera. The monthly kits each focus on two states.
Fat Brain Toys has everything from Flag Frenzy, a card game where players match flags, to the more complex Passport to Culture. In the latter, players virtually travel the world by collecting passport stamps using a board game.
Amazon also sells a plethora of world geography games, including books, maps and GeoDice, an educational board game.
