Johnson and Wales University offers 13 on-campus and campus-affiliated housing options. Students can choose to live in dorm rooms, suites or apartments shared with other students. Each residence community provides a safe, warm environment for students to get the most out of their university life.
The Centennial House, East Hall, Harborside Village, Imperial, McNulty, Renaissance Hall, Snowden, South Hall, The Cove, West and Xavier are affiliated with Johnson and Wales student housing.
All university-affiliated housing holds between one and six students per unit depending on the housing style. All units are smoke-free. Certain housing is reserved for students enrolled in specific degree programs. For example, the Harborside Campus houses culinary arts students.
Students can choose to live on gender-neutral floors that allow members of the opposite biological sex to reside in the same room. The option gives students the flexibility to find a compatible roommate. All freshman students must live on campus unless they meet specific requirements.
The room and board fees include all utilities including Internet and basic cable. Phone service is not included in the rate. The rate a student is charged is based on the residence type and how many students are occupying a single room.
