According to a study conducted by Cathy Price of the Welcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at University College London, the average IQ of a 14-year-old girl is 112. This is based on a survey of healthy adolescents between the ages of 12 and 16.
However, Price noted that the average IQ of adolescents, regardless of gender, is subject to change over time. While in the first study of 12-16 year olds IQs ranged between 77 and 135, a study 4 years later recorded a range between 87 and 143 ﾗ a statistically significant difference.
Another study found that females are slightly more intelligent than men, with an average IQ in most countries between 100.5 and 101.5.
