To find audio word pronunciations, visit academic websites such as Cambridge.org and MacMillanDictionary.com, locate the dictionary, type the specific word you are looking for and then click on the audio button to listen to its pronunciation. Cambrige.org provides audio pronunciation for different words in British and American English.
At Cambridge, click Digital Products on the top menu of the home page. On the new page, scroll down and click on the Find Out More button located under Cambridge Dictionaries Online. Select the type of English from the provided options. Type the word you are looking for into the search bar of the online dictionary and then click Search.
From the results, click on the speaker icons located under that particular word you are searching for to listen to its pronunciation in British and American English. To understand the difference between American and British accents, make sure your device has clear speakers or is connected to an external audio outlet such as earphones or headphones, when listening to the pronunciations.
