Students who take online classes at Midland College access their course information and lessons through the Internet. Students must have access to computers and reliable Internet service to start their classes. Instructors lead online courses through Canvas, an online learning management system. Students have to meet certain software and hardware system requirements and create a username and password on Canvas to access the course materials. Students who have trouble logging in can click the Help link on the bottom of the page and report the issue.
Students can use the course schedule tool to find a list of online courses offered in various disciplines. They need to use the left selection box to find the semester and the right selection box to find subject areas. Once the search is complete, students can sort the online courses by meeting time. The school requires students to log in to their online courses on the first day of classes. The school drops students who fail to log in and participate in the course.
Midland College provides students an email account for no additional fee. The college uses this email address as its primary way of contacting students. Students can purchase their books online before classes start.Learn more about Colleges & Universities
