Activities available in the math section of StudyJams.Scholastic.com include instructional videos and self-assessments in the areas of place value, number lines, ordering whole numbers, estimating whole numbers and integers. Users can browse additional math subjects and activities by clicking See All Topics or using the search function of the site.
The Study Jams Math website subdivides its subjects into categories such as numbers, problem solving, and addition and subtraction. After a user clicks on one of the categories, the site provides specific areas and activities in the category. The page for each area provides a brief description of the skill along with the key vocabulary necessary for understanding it. The site also includes brief animated videos describing each skill, available by clicking Play Video. Afterwards, students can begin the self-assessment by clicking Test Yourself.
When users click on Test Yourself, they access a short multiple choice test. After answering all of the questions, the site displays how many answers were correct and incorrect and gives users a chance to review by clicking Review Your Answers. This shows the questions again and highlights which answers are correct. Users can click Feedback to receive additional information and context to help them with this problem.
