As of 2015, the ACT organization administers the ACT six times per year. Test dates and corresponding registration deadlines are published on the official ACT website, ACTStudent.org. The organization typically schedules tests in the months of September, October, December, February, April and June to correspond with the academic year.
All regular test dates are scheduled for Saturdays. Students who can’t participate in a Saturday test for religious reasons are eligible for non-Saturday testing, but only some testing centers offer alternate testing dates for these students. Depending on the circumstances, a student may need to arrange for a special administration of the test at her current school. Nonreligious students are generally not eligible for special test dates.
