Some 10th grade world history textbook titles include "World History: Patterns of Interaction," written by Holt McDougal and Roger B. Beck, and "The Americans," notes the Green Bay Area Public School District. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt publishes the world history textbook, while McDougal Littel publishes the American history book.
"World History: Patterns of Interaction" takes a critical thinking approach to educate tenth graders on such topics as the beginnings of civilization, African civilizations, Ancient Rome, World War II, democracy, the European Renaissance, the Middle Ages, the French Revolution and the discovery of the Americas. Students study world history from pre-history through modern times.
"The Americans" covers American history starting from the beginnings of migration through the 21st century. Some sample topics include the Civil War, nationalism, the Cold War, the Great Depression and immigration.
