Securitas USA offers three shifts: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 6 p.m. The security business operates 24 hours per day and uses the traditional first, second and third shift rotation.
Securitas is known for flexible work hours, and individual shifts are subject to variance. For example, in the event of staff shortage, employees can be asked to work 12-hour shifts. Securitas hires both part- and full-time workers, and employees have significant freedom to choose shifts. Securitas, based in Sweden, is one of the largest security firms in the world. In 2009, the company controlled an 11 percent share of the global market for security work.
