The Jung Typology Test, Keirsey Temperament Sorter and the MAPP Career Assessment Test are some well-regarded free career interest tests. Other career tests include Pymetrics and the Big Five Personality Test.
The Jung Typology Test, also known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, provides insight into 16 personality types relying on four principal psychological functions through which humans experience the world: sensation, intuition, feeling and thinking. A similar personality test is the Keirsey Temperament Sorter. Unlike Myers-Briggs, however, the personality aspects are not independent of one another. Both tests suggest fields of vocation.
MAPP, on the other hand, is a narrative report about a person's tasks, performance, reactions and 20 possible career areas. Pymetrics measures cognitive and social traits with mind games to provide insight into a person's strengths and weaknesses, and the Big Five is a quick test that gives information about how a person works and relates to others.
