According to Verizon's support page, How to Pay Your Bill, there are three ways to make payments online: a one-time payment, a recurring auto-pay option, and paperless billing and online bill payment. A fourth option, an online payment arrangement, is available for those wishing to arrange payments.
To pay a current bill or past due amount immediately, Verizon offers a one-time online payment option using a debit or credit card or an electronic check. For those not able to pay the total amount due, an online payment arrangement is available to schedule either a later date to pay or two payment dates over which to split payments.
Verizon's Paperless Billing page offers electronic notification when a bill is due. For those wishing to review their bills and make payments online, by mail, or in-person, the paperless billing option is preferred. Paperless bills can be paid automatically using a bank account or credit card using the auto-pay option.
