One way of searching for average salaries of veterinary technicians according to state is to use the data search tool on the United States Bureau of Labor and Statistics website at BLS.gov. Veterinary technologists and technicians provide technical support and assistance to veterinarians by performing physical exams and lab tests and administering medicines to animal patients, notes PetMD.com.
