  2. Use the tool's drop-down menus to select the fund type, including the fund group, its Morningstar category and length of desired fund tenure. Next, select the desired minimum initial purchase, whether load or no-load funds are desired and the expense ratio of the fund. Set the ratings and rank for the fund by selecting one to five stars, or tick the box to search for New, Unrated Funds if desired. Choose from the desired returns for year-to-date, 1-, 3-, 5- or 10-year funds.
