The Total Rewards program can be joined for free at any Caesar's, Harrah's or Harvey's property. Prospective members have to show a valid ID and supply some personal information, and in return receive a card that earns them points whenever they gamble, dine or shop at these properties.
Total Rewards members can exchange the points they earn for hotel stays, dining and other expenses at Caesar's properties and their subsidiaries. In addition to the points that are redeemed for rewards, members also earn "tier points" from these activities. As members advance through tiers in the program, they receive added benefits, such as waived resort fees at casino-hotel properties.
Points for gaming are earned by inserting the Total Rewards card into a slot machine or showing it to the dealer or pit boss while playing at the tables. A certain number of points are earned for each wager, and the amount varies depending on the game.
Points can also be earned for hotel stays and dining at some restaurants on the casino properties. Hotel stays booked by logging into a Total Rewards account automatically accrue points. Restaurants owned by the properties, such as Hash House A Go-Go, usually grant points with purchases, but chains such as Starbucks and Quiznos may not.
