What Are Some Unique Duplex Building Plans?

Unique building plans for duplex dwellings include Mediterranean- and craftsman-style buildings featured at The Plan Connection. Familyhomeplans.com features a multifamily building with elevated wood decks in back. Morning Glory and Catalina building designs featured at The House Designers have their own unique touches.

The Mediterranean duplex design is a single floor plan that includes 10-foot ceilings, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The exterior is composed of neutral tone concrete stucco and tile roofing in the California and Florida styles. The master suites include walk-in closets and master bath, while the bedrooms share a bathroom. Each unit has a garage that has space for two vehicles. The craftsman duplex is for a country ranch or log cabin style dwelling with stick or truss framing.

The craftsman duplex has an open floor plan and one dwelling has a sun room adjacent to the dining room. There is no sun room in the second dwelling, but it does have a breakfast nook directly adjacent to the great room, and a dining room accessible from the covered porch. Morning glory duplex plans feature two Tudor style dwellings with lower and upper levels. The lower level features a porch and courtyard and upper levels have balcony style porches. Utility rooms are adjacent to the kitchens and there are master and standard bedrooms.
