Amazon issues full refunds on items it ships, including Warehouse Deals, within 30 days of their shipment, according to Amazon.com. Items purchased from third-party sellers may have different return policies, but buyers can use Amazon's A-to-Z guarantee for help with returns from these sellers in specific instances.
To return items purchased directly from Amazon.com, buyers should sign into their Amazon account, click the Your Account Tab and find the Orders section. They should then click Return or Replace Items in the More Order Actions menu. Inside this tab, account holders have options for returning items, replacing gifts and checking return status.
To begin the return process, click the Return Items tab. The next page shows buyers recent items they've ordered, allowing them to select the ones they wish to return for a refund. Buyers must then choose why they're returning the item in question, and space is provided for a note concerning the specifics of the problem. Some returned items require return shipping to be paid by the buyer, but in the case of defective items, missing parts, cases where the wrong item was shipped and inactivate descriptions, return shipping may be paid by Amazon.
After the item is selected, buyers returning items print out a return label and slip. Pickup or drop-off options for the returned items are provided for the convenience of the buyer.
