Click the New User Click Here to Continue link to establish a new username and password.

Next, click the Search for Property link located on the left side of the Unclaimed Property Division Web page, instructs the LA Department of the Treasury. Refine the search by entering optional identification information, including last name or company name, first name, address and city. Type the displayed Captcha image into the appropriate box, and click the Search Properties link.

The search results include person or business name, address, city, state and ZIP code. The dollar amount and description of the unclaimed property, the reported year and the assigned property number are listed as well, notes the LA Department of the Treasury.
