What Types of Events Are Held at the Pomona Fairplex?

Events at the Pomona Fairplex include exhibitions, swap meets, fundraisers, marathon races and festivals. Other types of events are driving lessons, Easter services, a school agriculture and nutrition fair, and a Celtic faire. A train museum, garden railroad and motorsports museum are ongoing events. The Fairplex is also the location of the Los Angeles County Fair and the Los Angeles International Wine Competition.

Some of the exhibition shows scheduled for 2015 and 2016 feature arts and crafts, classic cars, RVs, gold and treasure, and home and garden. At the gold and treasure show, guests can learn to pan for gold as well as shop. The home and garden show offers home improvement displays and demos, as well as family entertainment.

The Fairplex has expos for Asian-Americans, brides, pets and horses. The three-day Western States Horse Expo showcases top horses and offers information on horse training and industry trends.

Fundraisers include a run/walk to benefit disabled adults and a "Souper Bowl" event to support art at The Learning Center at the Fairplex. For this event, each donor chooses a student-crafted soup bowl and soup for $15.

The December Harvest Festival is a three-day event of entertainment, an art-and-craft show and food. Non-perishable donations for the Foothill Family Shelter earn the donors a discount on the festival admission price.
