The Wisconsin Motor Company originally constructed water-cooled engines used in automobiles, farming equipment and many other applications, but had largely narrowed its focus to the industrial market by the time the company was acquired by congolomerate Teledyne. Teledyne later sold Teledyne Wisconsin and sister brand Continental to V&L Tool Company in 2001, and V&L continues to manufacture Wisconsin-branded engines and replacement parts for some older engines, as of 2016.
