Teledyne Wisconsin Motors specialized in manufacturing engines for industrial and farm equipment, with a particular focus on diesel engines. However, Teledyne Wisconsin Motors no longer exists as an independent business entity as of 2016 after its purchase by V & L Tool Incorporated in 2001.
The Teledyne Wisconson Motor Company was originally founded as the Wisconsin Motor Company and produced some automotive and truck engines during the company's early years. It was purchased by conglomerate Teledyne and renamed Teledyne Wisconson Motors, then sold to V & L Tool along with Teledyne's Continental brand. Continental currently produces parts for existing Wisconson-branded engines.
