Quik Quarter Classifieds is a specialized classified ad service aimed at south Louisiana. It began in 1981 and was originally only published in Lafayette, Louisiana. Through mergers with Dandy Dime, Cajun Want Ads, and Show-N-Sell, the company has expanded to cover all of southern Louisiana. It publishes two print editions, one for the southern part of its range and one for the northern. The northern region is between Lafayette, Butte La Rose, Kinder and Ville Platte. The southern region extends from St. Martinville to Houma and includes oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
There are two online editions, one for Acadiana and one for Teche. The base price to print an ad is $14.00 for three lines and another $12.00 to add it to the online edition, as of 2015. Additional lines print at $4.00 per line. The ads last through three runs of the print editions, or three weeks. The magazine is free to the public and is aimed at stimulating the economy in southern Louisiana.
