Depending on the academic year when a student begins his study, the award can be up to $5,165, as of 2015. Because TAP is a grant and not a loan, the student does not have to return the money.
Employer tuition assistance programs generally includes assistance that provides reimbursement for books, fees, tuition and other costs of continuing education. Many companies pay for an unlimited amount of course study that may or may not relate to the current position of the employee, Inc.com notes.
