The second application is an application for a new PAN card or for changes or corrections in PAN data. This application has one form that can be used by both Indian and foreign citizens.

When checking the status of an application, the applicant must enter their name on the status tracking page the same way they wrote it on the original form. If the applicant is not an individual, the name should only be written in the last name field, notes the National Securities Depository Limited. In either case, the NSDL typically processes the applications within 15 days, and, as long as the information is correct, the card will be dispatched as soon as processing is complete.
