TNT’s website has a tracker you can use to track air freight packages sent through the company. Click Track & Trace from the main menu on the homepage to open the tracker, and type in the consignment number to track your package.
The consignment number is a nine-digit number also known as air waybill number. TNT lists the consignment number beneath the customer number on the left side of its invoices.
If the tracker displays multiple results for your consignment number, then enter the number as it appears on your consignment note. The consignment number on a consignment note includes letters in addition to the nine digits. TNT generates a consignment note, also known as an air waybill or a bill of lading, for all its shipments.
TNT’s tracker lets you monitor the current location and status of your shipment. You can also confirm the delivery of your package and see who signed for it.
TNT’s air freight services include door-to-door delivery as well as door-to-airport delivery. The company processes the import and export clearances of air freight shipments and, as of October 2015, delivers to 200 countries worldwide.
Ken Thomas founded TNT in Australia as Thomas Nationwide Transport in 1946.
