The other top-rated ETF is the iShares Transportation Average, states About.com. This fund consists of 21 holdings from airline, delivery, shipping, marine and railroad companies. Some of the top holdings include Alaskan Air, United Parcel Service, Union Pacific, Fedex Corporation and Landstar Systems.
The top ETFs have several holdings in common, such as Landstar Systems Inc, United Parcel Service, Alaska Air Group, Kirby Corp and Ryder System Inc, according to MarketWatch. However, SPDR S&P Transportation has more holdings than iShares Transportation average. While the former ETF was created in 2011, the inception date of the latter was much earlier in 2003.
