In 2014, United States produced 12.5 million barrels of oil a day, while Saudi Arabia produces 11.6 million and Russia 10.8 million barrels. The next closest country after USA, Russia and Saudi Arabia is China with 4.4 million barrels. The United States just recently overtook Russia as the top gas-producer. Other countries that are also the top gas-producer in the world are United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Mexico and Kuwait.
