Others include the Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard for individuals with lower credit scores.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred card offers customers 40,000 bonus rewards points if they spend $4,000 on purchases within three months, says NerdWallet. The Blue Cash Preferred American Express card provides a cash back rate of 6 percent on groceries, 3 percent on gas and select department store purchases, and 1 percent on all other purchases. The Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard provides individuals who have average credit a no-annual-fee option and offers between 1 and 2 percent cash back.
Other top cards include the Citi ThankYou Preferred card for College Students, which offers enhanced rewards on dining and entertainment purchases along with a 2,500-point bonus when cardholders spend $500 within their first three months, explains NerdWallet. The Ink Plus Business Credit Card offers accelerated points accumulation on office supplies and telecommunications services as well as gas and hotels.
Other options include the Discover it card, which offers a 0 percent APR on purchases during the first six months and on balance transfers for 18 months, states NerdWallet. Lastly, the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard allows customers to earn 2.2 miles per dollar spent on their cards and lets cardholders earn back miles that they redeem for travel expenses.
