The Value City Furniture, or VCF, credit card application requires that applicants give their name, address, phone number, email and date of birth, and it also asks for a social security number, housing details, monthly income and the initial purchase amount, as Synchrony Financial indicates. Applicants may read about the card's interest rates, penalty fees, and other terms and conditions on the online application page.
Applicants can choose between electronic or paper statements. Choosing electronic statements results in receiving monthly emails with balance details and payment due dates, while paper statements come in the mail. VCF also offers card security of up to $10,000, as Synchrony Financial describes.
This security includes an option for canceling monthly minimums or the card's balance if the card holder suffers unemployment, disability, hospitalization or loss of life. It costs $1.66 per $100 of monthly balance on the credit card, according to Synchrony Financial. The benefits come into effect after 30 days of enrollment, and cardholders must have a full-time job to qualify for balance cancellation benefits.
The VCF credit card comes with an annual percentage rate of 29.99 percent on all purchases. A cardholder's balance is due 23 days after each billing cycle is complete, as Synchrony Financial explains, and the monthly interest rate comes in at one-twelfth of the APR, or 2.42 percent.
