Voxx Electronics Corporation, which acquired the Code Alarm brand in 2000, does not offer a traditional tech support phone number as of 2015. Instead, the company employs an online system by which customers can ask questions that are answered by Voxx employees.
Customers can access the help system at voxxelectronics.com/support. The site encourages users to check the FAQ section to see if their inquiry has already been answered. If it has not, the customer is required to create an account on the website before asking a question. The question then waits for the next available employee, who provides an answer via email. Voxx claims that this system is superior to traditional tech support because the customer is never left on hold while waiting to speak to a representative.
The employees that answer the questions work only on weekdays during normal business hours, so while the support site can be accessed at any time, answers cannot appear prior to the next business day. The same system is used across all brands under the Voxx Electronic umbrella, including Audiovox, Advent, Jensen, Omega and Pursuit.
