Click on the Applications & Registrations tab on the right-hand column, and then click on NCLEX Registration to open the registration options, notes the NCSBN. Choose to register online, or select the phone registration option. Both require a form of payment for registration. NCLEX registrations stay open for one year to give the local board of nursing establishment time to process your first application. The NCSBN sends you an Authorization to Test email that lists eligible testing dates.

Those who need assistance in registering for the NCLEX can contact the Pearson VUE at 1.866.496.2539 or email support at pvamericascustomerservice@pearson.com, as of 2015, explains the NCSBN. The Pearson Portal also allows applicants to track their status, find testing locations and use test plans as study guides. Applicants can also become familiar with the computerized adaptive testing platform used on the exam. The Pearson Portal also has a link to Contact your Board of Nursing that gives applicants access to local regulatory bodies that must approve an application to the NCLEX.
