Shopping in Alaska is strongly concentrated in the most populated areas. These include Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Eagle River. Certain lower-population areas that are known for tourism also have some shopping areas, such as Ketchikan.
Anchorage has several malls and shopping centers, including the Dimond Center Mall, the 5th Avenue Mall, Northway Mall and Tikahtnu Commons. Juneau's downtown area is home to local artisans, and the area also has the Nugget Mall Shopping Center and the Mendenhall Mall. Fairbanks is home to Bentley Mall, the northernmost mall in the United States, and other shopping centers, include the Gavora Mall and Washington Plaza.
