Bloom Energy produces a fuel cell product known as the Bloom Energy Box that uses an electrochemical process to produce clean, reliable and cost-effective electricity, explains GSV Capital. As a clean alternative to fossil fuels that produce dirty combustion, the product is based on solid oxide fuel cell technology and is considered to be among the most efficient fuel cells, featuring efficiency rates in excess of 50 percent, says The Oxford Club. Current Bloom Energy customers include a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Google, eBay, Coca-Cola and Wal-Mart.
