As of 2015, a consumer first needs to give his email address and ZIP code when visiting the company's website to apply for a Horizon Gold Credit card, notes Horizon Gold. The user then needs to agree to the company's terms and conditions for the cardholder agreement.
The company activates the Horizon Gold card account upon approval of the application once the consumer successfully completes the application, according to Horizon Gold. As of 2015, the company does not conduct an employment check for its clients. Also, Horizon Gold does not perform a credit check and guarantees a minimum of $500 credit limit after completing the application.
Bad-credit, no-credit and low-score consumers should not have an issue with getting a Horizon Gold account, reports Horizon Gold; however, Horizon Gold limits card purchases to items available on the Horizon Outlet website. The card takes an estimated five days to two weeks before arriving at the customer's address.
Horizon Gold charges customers $24.95 a month for access to the company's outlet website, explains Horizon Gold. The company also reports customers' credit history to the major credit bureau. Upon arrival of the card, a consumer can log in to the company's site and manage his account. The client can then make payments online or by mail.
