Based in Surprise, Arizona, the Sun City Grand community is an active-adult community that is home-owner owned and managed. The community completed construction of its first home in 1996 and its last home in 2005. The community features a wide number of amenities and on-site activities such as golfing, fitness centers, swimming pools, clubs and tennis courts as well as a variety of dining options.
Sun City Grand's golf courses consist of four championship-caliber courses. The first course, Desert Springs, opened its fairways to players in 1996 followed by Granite Falls South in 1997 and Granite Falls North in 1999. The final course, Cimarron, opened in 2002.
The chartered clubs in the community include card clubs such as bridge, euchre, canasta, pinochle and poker as well as outdoor activity clubs such as tennis, lawn bowling, garden, fishing and hiking. Additionally, the community offers eight different golfing clubs, a dance club, a drama club, a woodcrafting club and a scrapbooking club.
The community offers two fitness centers, the Adobe Fitness Center and the Cimarron Fitness Center. Both centers offer pools with children's hours, personal trainers, fitness seminars, classes and events.
The on-site dining options include Angela's, Coco's Bakery and Restaurant, and The Grand Cafe as well as three snack bars.
