Customers can sign up for SunTrust online banking by completing an online enrollment process at SunTrust.com and verifying their identity with their account number, card number, PIN and social security number. After completing the form, SunTrust sends the customer an email with a Security Access Code to finish enrollment.
If a customer does not receive the email, he can call SunTrust to have it resent. Online banking support is available at the toll-free number, as well as general support for broad questions about banking with SunTrust.
Customers must have a checking, savings, money market, credit card, line of credit or loan account with SunTrust to qualify for online banking. These accounts may be opened online.
Once a customer is registered for online banking, he can access and manage his account 24 hours per day. Available online services include checking account balances, transferring money between SunTrust accounts or to other U.S. banks, paying bills, reviewing bank statements and opting out of paper statements, as well as signing up to receive electronic statements of bills.
Customers can also sign up for mobile banking to manage their account information from a mobile device. SunTrust mobile banking is free, but fees may apply for transferring money to other financial institutions.
